Name: Corey How long have you you been doing CrossFit: Training CrossFit for 3 years and the CrossFit methodology is magic. How long have you been coaching: Qualifications: CrossFit coach/ sports nutritionist CF-L1, Cert 3 fitness, Certificate in applied sports nutrition, Cpr and first aid. What do you love about coaching: The reason I joined CrossFit urban energy is the community/members, they make coaching enjoyable and I’m keen to come to work every day to make class the best hour of their Day. What is your favourite lift/movement: Wallballs and machines. Least favourite movement: Every variation of handstand push ups. Fun fact: I am from far North Queensland where I played rugby league for 10+ years. Coach Nelly
Name: Donelle How long have you you been doing CrossFit: I have been training and competing in CrossFit for 11 years and keep thinking I should probably stop but I love the process of growth and challenge that this wonderful sport brings. How long have you been coaching: Qualifications: What do you love about coaching: As a coach I love helping people getting the best experience for their hour in the day. I make the learning process fun and enjoyable for all ages levels and abilities because if you aren’t having fun doing it what’s the point right?a I love pushing members to reach beyond what they think they can do as someone who is continuing on with their own growth in the sport I pride myself in helping others take those small steps to make the big things happen. What is your favourite lift/movement: Least favourite movement: Fun fact: I am a qualified high school teacher so I guess guiding and leading the way for others is something that comes naturally to me. I love seeing people work hard in the gym to achieve their personal best at any age and any level. |

Name: Jadyn How long have you you been doing CrossFit: 9 Years How long have you been coaching: 6 Years Qualifications: Cert 3&4 in Fitness, Aus Strength and Conditioning Level 1, CrossFit Level 1, Opex CCP. What do you love about coaching: I love that coaching enables me to connect with so many different people every day & I have the opportunity to positively impact someone’s fitness journey. What is your favourite lift/movement: Snatch & Burpees (yes burpees ) Least favourite movement: Dumbbell Box Step Overs Fun fact: I use to be a dairy farmer. Coach Pete Name: Pete How long have you you been doing CrossFit: I was first introduced to CrossFit in 2008 by way of FRAN. It took me 14 minutes to complete, and 4 days to recover. How long have you been coaching: I have been CrossFit coaching since 2012. Qualifications: I hold Cert IV in fitness - Level 2 CrossFit Coach - Diploma in Remedial Massage - Level 2 Sport Trainer and a Degree in Dad Jokes. What do you love about coaching:I absolutely love coaching for the social aspect and for the joy of watching people improve their physical capabilities and self worth! There’s very few things more rewarding than seeing someone really start to believe in themselves and begin to achieve things that they may have always perceived to be out of reach. My most favourite movements are: Over-Head Squats, Hang Power Clean, Box Jumps,Snatch, Wall Balls and Double Unders. My least favourite movements are: Deadlifts, farmers Cary, Yolk, and Deadball/weighted Carry. Fun fact: I’m a father of 3 girls and love when the girls out compete the boys. For the last 4 years I was an AFL sport trainer with the GWS Giants. |

III + IV in Fitness What do you love about coaching: Watching your everyday athlete like Brenda from HR that sits at a desk 9 hours a day trot out of the gym with a mad pump and a satisfied grin after hitting a 10kg PB on her back squat. For myself, elite athletes in peak performance is just as awe-inspiring as observing a new member conquer a fresh movement. I believe that exercise is not just about physical health but also mental and emotional well-being.
